Genetics Testing available at ARUP Laboratories

ARUP Laboratories’ Genetics Division offers biochemical genetics, cytogenetics, molecular genetics, and maternal serum screening testing. Eight lab-based genetic counselors are available for consultation with clinicians on test orders and results interpretation.

Our state-of-the art test menu includes:

  • Molecular genetic testing for single-gene disorders, familial cancer syndromes, and pharmacogenetics.
  • Biochemical genetic testing for inborn errors of metabolism.
  • Chromosome analysis and FISH on prenatal, postnatal, and oncology samples.
  • Genomic microarray, including a custom-designed X-chromosome ultra-high density microarray covering all 954 genes on the X chromosome.
  • Comprehensive maternal serum screening menu, including all four ACOG-recommended tests.
