Dr. Weiss discusses arup–Weber State collaboration with KUTV

In a featured interview with KUTV, Ronald Weiss, MD, MBA, executive vice president of corporate communication at ARUP Laboratories, discusses the critical medical technologist shortage faced by ARUP and other laboratories. According to Dr. Weiss, between 10,000 and 12,000 additional medical technologists are going to be needed each year over the next 10 years. In order to address the shortage, ARUP has joined with Weber State University to provide lab-education solutions. The ARUP–Weber partnership promotes MT and MLT training without employees having to leave their job sites.
