Collect: Serum separator tube.
Specimen Preparation: Transfer 2 mL serum to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube (ARUP Supply #43115). (Min: 1 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.
Unacceptable Conditions: Urine (refer to test Histoplasma Antigen Detection EIA, Urine (ARUP test code 2006110). Specimens other than serum.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 5 weeks; Frozen: Indefinitely (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles)
