Founded in Collaboration
We believe in collaborating, sharing knowledge, and contributing to laboratory medicine in ways that provide the best value for the patient.
Established more than 30 years ago by the University of Utah and its Department of Pathology, ARUP has a long-standing tradition of contributing to academic research and development. From creating benchmarking studies to developing new instrumentation, we embrace innovation in the name of patient care.
Collaboration is integral to utilization management. We engage our clients in conversation, share ideas, and work together to better understand our clients' goals and help them identify opportunities for improvement.
Our Consultative Services team of experts is your valuable resource for collaboration, as well as knowledge, articles and case studies, and customized solutions for your unique challenges. Contact Consultative Services today.
Pediatric Laboratory Utilization Guidance Services
As a longtime contributor to utilization efforts to benefit pediatric hospital laboratories, ARUP is a member of the nationwide PLUGS program, which works with children’s hospitals to assess, customize, and establish UM objectives. Support includes establishing ordering guidelines, having genetic counselors review expensive tests, and educating physicians.
