Ask me about: Analysis of care models, streamlining evidence-based care coordination, laboratory stewardship
For nearly two decades, Jennifer was in the business of hands-on patient care. A licensed respiratory therapist since the 1990s, she has worked with patients young and old to help them overcome breathing difficulties. From the neonatal intensive care unit to adult care in level-one trauma settings and noninvasive cardiopulmonary work, she has been on the front lines of life-saving healthcare in Tennessee. Jennifer has worked in small community hospitals, rehabilitation care centers, and in larger health systems. After moving into leadership and management, she helped coordinate the shutdown of two facilities and then built a new lab from the ground up. After many years at Franklin Woods Community Hospital and Ballard Health, Jennifer took a leadership position in corporate healthcare to work with clinical informatics and develop evidence-based care teams. She is an expert in lab outreach, blood utilization management, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) quality controls, physician education, clinical documentation, and a host of other areas. Her primary goal, however, is to “help labs navigate system hurdles so they can promote themselves and elevate their standing within their organizations” and provide better patient care. Born in Virginia and raised in Tennessee, Jennifer works from her home office in the Volunteer State. Jennifer and her family love camping in the Tennessee mountains and other outdoor adventures.
