Text: Connect with ARUP Laboratories at AAN 2025

Visit booth #915 to explore the latest in diagnostic laboratory testing and discuss your testing needs with ARUP experts.

April 2, 2025

ARUP Laboratories continues to build a strong portfolio of neurology testing to reflect current scientific advancements. New test options will be highlighted at the upcoming American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meeting. Held in San Diego, California, from April 5 through 9, the conference provides neurology professionals with educational sessions, insights into the latest research, and opportunities to engage with peers and colleagues.

One presentation that should not be missed is by Kelly Doyle, PhD, DABCC, FADLM, ARUP medical director of Special Chemistry and Endocrinology. He has worked on the validation of ARUP’s soon-to-be-available plasma phosphorylated tau 217 (pTau 217) biomarker test for Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The biomarker pTau 217 has shown strong correlation with amyloid pathology as measured by positron emission tomography (PET) imaging and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)-based biomarkers in the diagnosis of AD. Doyle will present on the clinical and analytical performance characteristics of the assay in relation to current guidelines on assay performance from the Global CEO Initiative Working Group.
